My love of languages combined with a keen interest in world affairs led me to join the Model United Nations team at school. In 2022 I took part in my first conference online as a delegate of Thailand as part of the IEAfor ATSMUN. With my fellow MUN colleagues I traveled to Menton, in the south of France to take part in the global MEDMUN conference. As the conference delegate for Egypt, I investigated complex solutions to relieving the plight of women in the developing world and took part in debates in front of an audience of 200 delegates.

 

This experience led me to investigate women’s access to Abortion rights for my Extended Essay as part of the International Baccalaureate program. Furthermore, in my current capacity as President of our school’s Model United Nations Team I have strengthened my resolve to turn these academic pursuits into positive action and develop my leadership skills to inspire younger team members to pursue their goals with conviction.
